Dec 2, 2022 · As for the "Goku can't/doesn't summon the spirit bomb in SSJ form" that's a stipulation that was created for the Super Android 13 film, true. But seeing as how they've kept that consistent through the climax of the Buu arc and into DBS it seems to have been confirmed as a canon trait of the technique.

Dec 9, 2021 · Goku did "absorb" the Spirit Bomb but that's separate to Ultra Instinct. Goku was essentially out of ki entirely doing this, and he is essentially running on the fumes of that while in Ultra Instinct. Out of fumes, out of Ultra Instinct, Goku can't move his body anymore.

Aug 9, 2018 · Goku Black can combo into Spirit bomb with an empty vanish in the corner using God Slicer Dance. With certain characters Goku's size (Ginyu, Piccolo, Adult Gohan, Zamasu) and above you can perform it normally with no special timing, but characters Goku's size and smaller have to be timed specifically so that Base Goku is at a favorable angle.

I understand Goku was getting a lot more energy from people that time, but it seems like 99% of the universe, 28 planets or however many were left at the time of the Namek spirit bomb would still be stronger than just one planets worth
