Located just off the beach between Cape Fear Blvd and Harper Ave., the Boardwalk District is a pedestrian only area with lots of parking and bike racks nearby. Between the commercial area and the ocean is a raised wooden boardwalk offering access to the beach and spectacular views.

Visitors can experience a vintage, nationally-recognized seaside boardwalk, live music, miles of beautiful beach, world-class fishing, one-of-a kind festivals and events, and all kinds of people united by good times that are unmistakably Carolina Beach.

Holiday decorations, lights, a fire pit where kids of all ages roast marshmallows, listen to holiday stories, caroling, and the chance to meet Santa himself transform the Boardwalk into a winter wonderland...at the beach!

The newly constructed accessible boardwalk is welcoming to individuals with disabilities and others with limited mobility. Beach wheelchairs are available for use free of charge through the Carolina Beach Parks and Recreation Department. The Town is also working on the installation of an AccessDeck from the boardwalk.

Visitors can experience miles of beautiful beach and good times that are unmistakably Carolina Beach. Our beaches are known for the soft sand and great surf, and we want all visitors to enjoy their trip to our coast.

This project provided a much needed face lift for the Boardwalk area and greatly enhanced beach access, special needs accommodations, and enjoyment of the dune ecosystem. It encompasses a full slate of public benefits including: • Replacing the entire existing 750-foot long, 8-foot wide structure with a new 16-foot wide Boardwalk

The Town of Carolina Beach offers multiple public parking options to visitors and residents. Town-operated parking is open year round and paid parking is enforced March 1st - October 31st from 9AM - 8PM.
