Eggs are being recalled in some provinces, after the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) put out a notice saying some brands might be contaminated with salmonella. The recall from the agency includes cartons from various companies sold in Ontario, Manitoba, British Columbia and possibly other parts of Canada.

Food Inspection Agency says the recall covers Compliments, Foremost, Golden Valley Eggs, IGA, no name and Western Family eggs.

Burnbrae Farms is recalling eggs shell sold at Walmart, No Frills and other stores. The affected brands are Compliments, Foremost, Golden Valley Eggs, IGA, No Name and Western Family.

As per CFIA, the food that is contaminated with salmonella may not look or even smell spoiled. However, it makes people sick. People who have a weakened immune system, older people, pregnant women and young children are at the greater risk.
