A teenager wearing a shower cap allegedly took a New York subway train for a joyride before crashing it. The 17-year-old girl is suspected of being one of two people who commandeered the empty train from Briarwood subway station in Queens in the early hours of Sept 12.

The NYPD is asking the public to assist them in finding the two suspects who took an unoccupied subway car on a joyride last week. The pair fled the scene after the train crashed.

A search is underway in New York City for two suspects, including one dressed all in pink, who allegedly stole and crashed an empty subway train.

One suspect was last seen wearing a pink shower cap, pink sleeveless shirt and pink shorts and carrying a pink handbag.
