The Raiders are restructuring their front office after last month having hired as general John Spytek, who had gotten to know Thewes when he was a Broncos scout from 2013-15. They also last month hired Pete Carroll as head coach.

Thewes has been hired away by the Las Vegas Raiders to become their senior vice president of football operations, a source tells 9NEWS.
