The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has debunked reports that it has ended petrol imports in Nigeria and only buys from local refineries.

Nigeria's state oil firm, NNPC Ltd said on Wednesday one of its subsidiaries has agreed to supply 100 million standard cubic feet of gas per day to the Dangote oil refinery for the next 10 years.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Gas Marketing Limited, a subsidiary of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, has secured a gas sale and purchase agreement with Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals.

NNPC, through its subsidiary, NGML, has entered a pact with with Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE for the supply of gas for 10 years.
