Charles Leclerc expressed his delight in being able to witness Lewis Hamilton ’s first Ferrari F1 test in person, declaring it “a very special day for the team”. It’s been a busy week at Maranello for Ferrari, with Hamilton visiting the team’s factory for the first time.

Hamilton climbed into the SF-23, the team’s challenger during the 2023 season, at Ferrari’s test track on Wednesday and put the machine through its paces. Under F1’s Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) regulations, Hamilton was able to get a feel for Ferrari machinery while driving a car used in a previous season.
