A crocodile that unexpectedly surfaced at a popular Queensland camping destination this week may have been pushed hundreds of kilometres out of its normal habitat by strong ocean currents.

On Tuesday evening, the Okeechobee Sheriff's Office held its annual award ceremony highlighting deputies who went above and beyond in the line of duty during those storms on October 9th.

Former West Coast Eagles star and 2006 AFL premiership player Adam Hunter has been found dead in Bunbury, south of Perth.

Adam Hunter played 151 games for the Eagles between 2000 and 2009, winning the 2006 premiership with the famous team.
