Two men opened fire in Fort Worth after being denied bar entry, shot at by off-duty police, and arrested following a car chase.

Fort Worth police chased two men accused of firing a gun outside a bar in the West 7th entertainment district on Sunday night, and one of the suspects was shot when the two men struggled over the weapon, police said.

At about 9:57 p.m., officers responded to a call about a shooting in the 2800 block of Bledsoe Street, according to a news release from Fort Worth police. Detectives found that two men had been turned away from entering a a bar/restaurant in the area.

Two men who allegedly fired shots outside a Fort Worth bar on Sunday night were arrested after a short police chase. Police said the suspects fired shots at several off-duty officers who were working at the bar, but they were not hit. No Fort Worth officers ever returned fire.

Fort Worth police shot an unidentified male while investigating a domestic disturbance Thursday evening, according to a news release from the department. Officers were dispatched at around 6:20 p.m. to the 5600 block of Seafield Lane, where they were notified of shots being fired in the area, police said.

The operation focused on distribution of illegal machine gun conversion devices, or “switches,” which can turn semiautomatic firearms into fully-automatic guns, officials said.
