ASHTABULA COUNTY — A $1 million-winning Powerball ticket was sold in Ohio this week. The winning ticket was sold at the Conneaut Clark Station in Conneaut, which is in Ashtabula County. The ticket matched all five winning numbers from Wednesday’s drawing but did not match the Powerball number.

Someone in Ohio is likely holding a Powerball ticket worth $1 million. According to Ohio Lottery documents, one lucky ticket purchased in the Buckeye State matched five out of five numbers in the Wednesday, Jan. 8 drawing. Officials said the winning ticket was purchased in Ashtabula County at the Clark Station in Conneaut.

The Powerball lottery jackpot was an estimated $200 million with a cash option of $89.5 million for Saturday night's drawing, according to the Powerball website. The jackpot was last won on Dec. 7 when a New York lottery player won a $256 million Powerball jackpot.

The winning numbers for the December 28 drawing were 6, 31, 51, 54, 55, with a Powerball of 12.
