The National Weather Service has simplified some of its winter weather alerts for Wind Chill and Extreme Cold Warnings.

Areas affected include southeast Montana and northeast Wyoming, western Michigan, northwestern New York, and eastern North Carolina.

A Freeze Warning and Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for much of the Big Bend and South Georgia Thursday night with feel-like temperatures as low as the teens.
