On Saturday night, officers and a medical team found the man in his apartment with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Ames police identified the man on Tuesday as Parker L. Stoneburner, 25, of Boone. They say no arrests have been made, "however tips received continue to be reviewed by investigators."
