So where does Florida rank among its fellow confernece peers? The staff at 247Sports has been addressing this question on a weekly basis with their SEC college basketball poll, in which the Gators moved up to a tie for second place with the Alabama Crimson Tide — up three spots from the previous poll.
Iowa State rose one spot to No. 2, reaching its highest ranking in program history, followed by Duke, Alabama and Florida. The Blue Devils and Gators each claimed a first-place vote.
The new AP poll is out, and the Auburn Tigers are No. 1 on the list for the second time in program history. The first time was for three weeks in January and February of 2022. Auburn jumped Tennessee for the No. 1 spot after the Volunteers lost 73-43 to Florida on Tuesday in Gainesville. Tennessee had be No. 1 for five weeks.
