New York Giants GM Joe Schoen said Tuesday that any determination on Daniel Jones would be about the on-field product rather than financials, specifically the quarterback’s $23 million 2025 injury guarantee.

For those unaware, Jones signed a four-year, $160 million extension with the Giants back in March 2023. Interestingly, $23 million of his $30 million salary in 2025 is guaranteed in case of injury. It will definitely be an interesting week for the Giants as they assess their options and plan the next steps they need to take amid a brutal campaign.
