President-elect Donald Trump will return to Washington on Wednesday — entering the White House for the first time since being voted out of office — to meet with President Joe Biden for a ceremony meant to signal the peaceful transfer of power.

The House passed House Resolution 82, the Social Security Fairness Act of 2023, on Tuesday, Nov. 12. H.R. 82 aims to eliminate two provisions in the United States, including the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and the Government Pension Offset (GPO).
